Sponsors that are interested in contracting a CRO for a new study must make sure that the CRO has adequate standards for overseeing studies. Meanwhile, any CRO that is interested in taking on a new study should carefully review study information and identify any areas that will need special attention. Once a CRO is selected they must demonstrate that they have processes for important aspects of oversight such as selecting sites and providing well trained CRAs.
